Make a tasty treat for the scariest of holidays! This Halloween, let your spooky spirit show in the kitchen. With only a few ingredients, we’re going to make delicious ghosts and mummies. From a base of bananas and Greek yogurt, this recipe is a fun and sweet treat you can enjoy without guilt while pursuing your goals.

Serves 14 (8 ghosts, 6 mummies) 

Ingredients:

  • 4 large bananas (not too ripe or they will fall apart!)
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • *mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (for eyes) 
  • *1/3 cup creamy peanut butter (For mummies) 
  • 16 popsicle sticks

Directions

For Ghosts

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel 2 bananas, slice in have cross-wise, and in half again length-wise so you have 8 long, narrow pieces total.
  3. Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each banana section. 

For Mummies

  1. Peel remaining 2 bananas. 
  2. Cut the pointed tips off of the bananas. Slice the bananas cross wise into 3 equal pieces so you have 6 total round “logs”
  3. Insert popsicle sticks into one end of each.

- Place all bananas on parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight 

- Mix Yogurt and powdered sugar together in a bowl

- Dip each banana into yogurt. For ghosts place 3 chocolate chips as eyes and a mouth 

- For mummies, use a spoon or piping bag to drizzle peanut butter over as “bandages”, place eyes on 

- Freeze and serve!
