Our zinc and copper product contains 25 mg of zinc and 2 mg of copper which provides a therapeutic dose while maintaining the critical balance between these two minerals. This is a once daily capsule.
Take one capsule daily or as directed, as a dietary supplement
Appropriate for: All Patients as Directed by a Physician
Chelated Minerals: Mineral-Chelation means "attaching to." By chelating our minerals to an amino acid (the building block of protein), we have increased the likelihood that these minerals will be absorbed in a low-acidic environment.
Taking Copper or Zinc by mouth in higher doses should be monitored. Contact your healthcare provider if you are taking a supplement that contains copper or zinc, and if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
If you are experiencing persistent nausea, vomiting, GI upset, or other symptoms contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Adult Use Only unless recommended by a healthcare provider.
Patients should follow the instructions of their bariatric surgeon regarding proper supplementation. Proper supplementation should be viewed as an individualized regimen based on each patient’s individual medical history, laboratory studies, and current medication use.
Please speak with your surgeon and/or dietitian before taking zinc as too much zinc can be dangerous/toxic.
It may be recommended to get your (fasted) lab levels of zinc checked before starting this product.
Do not take for more than 3 months without re-checking lab levels and speaking to your doctor.
While a dosage of more than 25 mg/day may be recommended by your surgeon and/or dietitian, it may be beneficial to start with 1 capsule per day and slowly increase to the recommended dosage to minimize the risk of nausea.
If taking more than 1 capsule per day, it is recommended to space them throughout the day by at least 2 hours.
Taking this supplement with a good source of protein (drink or food), may increase absorption.
Do not take at the same time as high-fiber foods or other vitamins and supplements.
